After breakfast drive from Pokhara to Muri by private transportation, it takes about 7 hours drive. The last section, lasting around 1 hour, will be done walking to the town of Muri. In this town we will find the Magar ethnic group, the majority ethnic group in the Dhaulagiri region. We will learn about their culture and their way of life. Tonight and for the next few nights we will sleep in tents.

Today's route passes through different forests and countryside landscapes among which we will find small villages of the Magar ethnic group. We will also enjoy the views of Gurja Himal, a sacred mountain for the Magar ethnic group. Night in Bogara.

From Bogara we enter the dense forests of the Myagdi River valley. It will be several days until we find the population again beyond the shepherds in the area. The wildest part of the trek begins. Night in Doban.

At dawn we will wake up to the sound of birds and views of the snow-capped peaks of Dhaulagiri II and Manapathi. During the route we will walk through forests of bamboo, conifers, pines and oaks. Little by little the valley will open up until we reach the Italian Base Camp, where we will spend the night surrounded by the white giants.
Today we will spend the day at the Italian Base Camp to acclimatize. To do this we will climb about 400 meters and go back down to the camp.

Starting today we enter the alpine zone, with rocky terrain and glaciers. At night we will camp at the foot of Dhaulagiri at Japanese Base Camp.

We leave the alpine area behind to find an arid and much more open landscape. We will cross the French Col and camp in the Hidden Valley, home of the snow leopard.

Leaving behind the beauty of the hidden valley we will head toward Dhampus Peak. Today is going to be a more uphill hike crossing the Dhampus pass also known as Thapa pass. We will stay overnight at the high camp of Dhampus.

We will start our climb to the summit very early in the morning. After some hours of climbing we will reach the summit of Dhampus Peak, spending some time on the summit will descend down to the high camp for food and again get down to Yak Kharka overnight.
