Itinerary

Day 01 : Kathmandu Arrival (1,350m)

One of representative will pick you up at airport and accompany you to the Hotel. Depending on arrival time, we will visit some most important and famous places in the Capital.

In the evening, we will have a meeting at the hotel to brief you on the entire trip covering safety, altitude awareness and gears setup tips.

Day 02 : Kathmandu to Soti Khola (730m)

The drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola takes approximately 8-10 hours drive and offers beautiful views of rivers, green hills and rural villages along the way. The journey follows scenic highways beside the Trishuli river and passes through small towns and landscapes.

Distance: 140-145km drive | Duration: 8-10 hours normally but it depends on traffic jam

Day 03 : Soti Khola to Dobhan (1,070m)

From this day, our running activity will start till Dharapani. After breakfast, we will start running towards Dobhan. This day route follows the Budhi Gandaki River through a warm subtropical valley characterized by suspension bridges, narrow trails, and short undulating climbs. The terrain allows for intermittent running on flatter sections, while steeper stone staircases and technical sections require short hiking intervals. This stage is well suited for maintaining a controlled aerobic pace.

Distance: 22.8km | Ascent: +450m | Descent: -110m

Day 04 : Dobhan to Deng (1,860m)

After breakfast, we will start running towards Deng. This day, we gradually ascends deeper into the Budhi Gandaki gorge with increased forest cover and occasional landslide-prone areas. The trail remains moderately technical with frequent elevation fluctuations. We typically adopt a run–hike strategy, running the flatter traverses while hiking sustained uphill gradients to preserve energy efficiency.

Distance: 26.1km | Ascent: +950m | Descent: -200m

Day 05 : Deng to Namrung (2,660m)

This day, trail continues gaining elevation through mixed forest and traditional Himalayan villages. Longer climbs and stone stair sections become more frequent. While certain segments remain runnable, maintaining an efficient power-hiking rhythm on sustained ascents becomes increasingly important as elevation approaches 2,600 meters.

Distance: 16.7km | Ascent: +900m | Descent: -120m

Day 06 : Namrung to Shyala (3,500m)

This day, we will enter into high alpine terrain region with expansive views of peaks including Mount Manaslu. The trail gradient is generally moderate and sections of the route allow steady running. However, the increasing altitude near 3,500 meters requires careful pacing and attention to breathing and hydration.

Distance: 12.9km | Ascent: +900m | Descent: -60m

Day 07 : Shyala to Pungen Gompa (4,000m) to Samagoan (3,530m)

After early breakfast, we will start running towards Pungen Gompa. From Shyala, the trail climbs to the perched Pungen Gompa, a significant Tibetan Buddhist monastery offering panoramic views of Manaslu and surrounding peaks. After visiting the gompa, we will descend through alpine meadows, moraine boulders, and small hamlets into Samagaon. The descent allows for controlled running, while the uphill to the gompa is best approached as a brisk hike.

Distance: 13km | Ascent: +520m | Descent: -490m

Day 08 : Samagoan to Manaslu BC (4,800m) to Samdo (3,860m)

This day, we will run towards MBC first and then back to Samdo. From Samagaon, the route gradually ascends along the Budhi Gandaki valley, passing yak pastures, Mani walls, and prayer flags. Side trails lead to the Manaslu Base Camp, located beneath the south face of Manaslu. After soaking in the glacier views, we will descend through moraine fields and into Samdo village.

In samagoan, we can see the cultures, traditions and daily life of Nubri community people.

Distance: 18.8km | Ascent: +1,300m | Descent: -970m

Day 09 : Rest day at Samdo

This day, we will rest at Samdo Village, the last permanent settlement before the high passes. The strategy to rest this day is to adjust our body at high-altitude.

Day 10 : Samdo to Rui La (4,998m) to Samdo

This acclimatization day ascends to Rui La Pass, which forms part of the Nepal–Tibet border. This day route passes glacial streams, alpine ridges, and high-altitude moraine terrain. Prayer flags and small shelters mark the pass. After reaching there, we will explore around and get back to Sambo. We will use same route to get back.

Distance: 18.5km | Ascent: +1,140m | Descent: -1,140m

Day 11 : Samdo to Bhimthang (3,720m) via Larkya La Pass (5,106m)

This day is the most demanding and high-altitude day of the Whole trip. The day begins early, typically around 02:00–04:00 AM, to avoid maximum daylight, high-altitude winds & snow. This day will be more challenging than other days because of high-altitude terrain.

The pass offers unforgettable panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna II, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal and Kangguru.

Uphill is strictly hiking; the descent is runnable on moderate slopes, though careful footing is required.

Distance: 21.7km | Ascent: +1,250m | Descent: -1,390m

Day 12 : Bhimthang to Dharapani (1,910m)

The final day descends through mixed terrain of alpine forests, riverside paths, and terraced farmland. We will pass villages like Tilije before reaching Dharapani. The gentle downhill and scenic valley views allow extended running intervals. This stage concludes the circuit, offering a mix of fast trail sections and relaxing valley scenery.

Distance: 24.9km | Ascent: +200m | Descent: -2,010m

Day 13 : Dharapani to Kathmandu (1,350m)

Early morning, we will have our breakfast and take a hiace or bus to Kathmandu. The distance from Dharapani to Kathmandu is about 222 km and takes approximately 9 hours. Along the way, we can see the green hills, local villages, and beautiful landscape.

Day 14 : Final Departure

Transfer to Tribhuwan international Airport for final departure according to your flight time.

“Its time to say goodbye, with lots of memories made for lifetime”
