We begin our journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani, offering a glimpse into rural Nepalese life along the way. As we travel through winding mountain roads, enjoy breathtaking views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks, lush river valleys, and traditional hill villages. This overland adventure provides the perfect introduction to the natural beauty and cultural charm of the Annapurna region.

Our trekking adventure begins as we head toward the picturesque Dudh Khola Valley. Along the way, we pass through Tilche, a traditional Gurung village known for its warm hospitality, cultural charm, and stone-built houses.

The trail to Gowa is relatively easy and scenic, making it a pleasant start to the trek. Once we reach Gowa, we’re rewarded with breathtaking views of the high Himalayan peaks, offering a perfect spot to rest and soak in the natural beauty of the Annapurna region.

After breakfast, we begin our trek passing through the small, charming settlement of Surke. Beyond Surke, the trail leads into largely untouched wilderness, with no other villages or settlements nearby—offering excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings. Keep an eye out for elusive animals such as the musk deer, yellow-throated marten, Himalayan thar, and even leopards in their natural habitat.

Our destination, Yak Kharka, is nestled in the heart of a dense pine forest, providing a serene environment perfect for a refreshing forest bathing experience—immerse yourself in the calm and fresh mountain air as you relax surrounded by nature.

The trail winds through dense coniferous and vibrant rhododendron forests, creating a magical, fairy-tale-like atmosphere. Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Manaslu, also known as the “Mountain of the Spirit.”

We cross the sparkling Dudh Khola River before ascending to Bhimtang, a serene village nestled on a glacial moraine. Bhimtang boasts expansive open pastures and offers spectacular 360-degree views of the Great Himalayan range, making it a perfect spot to rest and soak in the majestic mountain scenery.

After breakfast, we will explore the glacial moraine, nearby glaciers, and the stunning Ponker Lake—a hidden gem in the Annapurna region. This spot offers a remarkable diversity of landscapes, from rugged ice formations to serene alpine waters. The breathtaking panoramic views of the Great Himalayas surrounding Ponker Lake make it an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and trekkers alike.

As we bid farewell to the stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks, our trail leads us into a dense, tranquil forest of coniferous trees, blue pine, and oak. The path winds through the scenic Dudh Khola Valley, passing several peaceful alpine meadows along the way. We will stop for an overnight stay in the traditional Tilche village, immersing ourselves in the authentic mountain culture and hospitality.

After breakfast, we’ll take a comfortable jeep ride from our lodge to Besisahar, the gateway to the Annapurna region. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to another vehicle for the scenic drive to Chitwan National Park, Nepal’s premier wildlife destination. Today’s journey offers a spectacular transition from the towering Himalayan mountains to the lush, subtropical Terai plains, showcasing Nepal’s diverse landscapes.

In the evening, immerse yourself in local culture with a vibrant Tharu traditional dance performance, celebrating the rich heritage of the indigenous Tharu community.

After breakfast, our exciting day begins with a peaceful canoe ride on the Rapti River. Glide along calm waters as you spot crocodiles, a variety of bird species, and with some luck, even one-horned rhinoceros in their natural habitat. We’ll also visit the elephant breeding center, learning about Nepal’s majestic elephants and conservation efforts.

Following lunch, get ready for an exhilarating jeep safari through the dense jungle. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife including the elusive Bengal tiger, wild elephants, one-horned rhinoceros, bears, gaur (Indian bison), leopards, wild boars, gharial and mugger crocodiles, various turtle species, numerous birds, and several types of deer.

This day offers a thrilling blend of wildlife spotting and immersive nature experiences in one of Nepal’s top safari destinations.

After breakfast, we’ll embark on a scenic drive from Chitwan National Park to Kathmandu, covering approximately 150 kilometers. The journey takes about 7 to 8 hours, offering beautiful views as we transition from the Terai plains back to the Kathmandu Valley.

We will visit Nepal’s most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites , the ancient city of Bhaktapur. Immerse yourself in the rich Newari culture, admire exquisite traditional architecture, and explore historic temples, palaces, and bustling squares that showcase Nepal’s vibrant heritage.
