This 13-day Nepal adventure combines the country’s rich cultural heritage, spectacular Himalayan landscapes, authentic mountain communities, and diverse wildlife into one unforgettable journey. Beginning in Kathmandu, the itinerary introduces you to the valley’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites and centuries-old Buddhist and Hindu traditions before heading to the lakeside city of Pokhara. From Pokhara, the journey continues into the Annapurna region for a scenic trek to Mardi Himal, passing through lush rhododendron forests, traditional villages, alpine landscapes, and dramatic mountain ridges. The trek culminates at Mardi Himal Base Camp, where panoramic views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and the surrounding Himalayan range create a truly memorable experience. After the mountains, the journey takes you to the subtropical lowlands of Chitwan for canoeing, wildlife exploration, nature walks, and an introduction to Tharu culture. The adventure concludes in Kathmandu with further cultural sightseeing before your final departure, offering a well-balanced experience of Nepal’s mountains, culture, nature, wildlife, and local way of life.

Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu (1,350m)

One of representative will pick you up at airport and accompany you to the Hotel. Depending on your arrival time, we will have a meeting at the hotel to brief you on the entire trip.

Day 02 : Kathmandu valley cultural tour

After having breakfast, we will begin our tour by visiting the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the "Monkey Temple", an ancient Buddhist stupa located on top of a hill and offering panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. And then you will discover the rich cultural heritage of Kathmandu Durbar Square, which features a variety of temples, palaces and courtyards showcasing Newari crafts and architecture. Next, you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Patan Durbar Square, known for its exceptional display of Newar architecture, including palaces, temples, and intricate wood and stone carvings.

Day 03 : Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (822m)

After breakfast, we will take a hiace or bus to Pokhara. The distance from Kathmandu to Pokhara is 200km and takes approximately 6-7 hours. On the way, we can see rivers, green hills, local villages and towns.

Early in the morning, after having breakfast we will drive to Kande and start our hike towards Pitam Deurali. The trail from Kande to Pitam Deurali passes through scenic forest, small villages and provide you first beautiful views of the Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Fishtail.

Today, we will enter to dense forest of rhododendron, moss-covered trees, and walking bamboo. This section of the trek is quieter and less populated, offering a peaceful experience. The path ascends gradually with occasional wildlife sightings and bird sounds along the way. As you move deeper into the forest, the air becomes cooler and the surroundings more tranquil. After several hours of steady trekking, you reach Rest Camp, a small cluster of teahouses nestled within the forest.

Today’s trek begins with a steady climb through forested terrain toward High Camp. As you gain altitude, the vegetation starts to thin and the first clear mountain views begin to appear. The trail continues along a scenic ridge past Badal Danda, where clouds often float below the trail, creating dramatic scenery. From here, the route ascends above the tree line into alpine terrain with spectacular views of Machhapuchhre and the Annapurna range. After several hours of ridge walking, we will arrive at High Camp, which offers breathtaking sunset views over the Himalayas.

Day 07 : Hike to Mardi Base Camp (4,500m) and Return to High Camp

Today will be little challenging and rewarding day as we hike towards Mardi Himal viewpoint and then Base Camp, early in the morning, to witness the memorable panoramic sunrise views of snow-capped mountains reflecting golden color from sun. The trail follows a narrow ridge with stunning close-up views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Mardi Himal. After spending some time enjoying the scenery and taking photographs, we will descend carefully back to High Camp.

Today is our final day which begins with a long descent from High Camp toward Siding Village. The trail drops through alpine meadows, rhododendron forests, and terraced farmland. As we descend, we pass small settlements of Gurung, Magar and other local communities which provides you an opportunity to observe traditional mountain lifestyles.

Day 09 : Drive Pokhara to Chitwan (100m)

Today we will drive to one of the touristic hubs, Chitwan. Chitwan is very well known for wildlife and safari activities. It lies in the southern part of Nepal so it will be warm/hot generally. 

Day 10 : Chitwan National Park Activities

We will start our day with canoeing in the Rapti river and followed by Chitwan National Park safari and exploration. Along safari, we will also do short Nature walks to spot wild animals like one-horned rhino, Bengal tiger, Elephant & many more. Also, we will observe Tharu culture in the town on this day. 

Day 11 : Drive Chitwan to Kathmandu

After having breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu from Chitwan. We start in the flat Terai lowlands, passing through forests and small towns, then gradually climb into the hills along the Trishuli River. The road becomes curvy with river views, terraced farms, green hills and roadside villages. 

Day 12 : Kathmandu Valley Sighseeing

After having breakfast, we will begin our tour by visiting the Pashupatinath Temple, also Known as Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva, also known as “Lord of All Beings”, it is a major pilgrimage site featuring pagoda-style architecture, a golden roof, and a 4-faced Shiva lingam.

After that, we will discover culturally rich Boudhanath Stupa, a massive 36m high White-doomed Buddhist Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist Stupa in the world, known for its enormous mandala design and vibrant atmosphere.

 After Boudhanath, we will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one of the most well-preserved royal palace complexes in the Kathmandu Valley. There we will see Newari architecture, the square features intricately carved temples, courtyards, and monuments dating back to the Malla period, including the iconic 55-Window Palace and Nyatapola Temple. Beyond its architectural significance, it remains a vibrant cultural center where traditional crafts, festivals, and daily life continue to reflect centuries-old heritage, offering you an authentic insight into Nepal’s historical and artistic legacy.

Day 13 : Final Departure

Transfer to Tribhuwan international Airport for final departure according to your flight time.
